Fancy a colorful adventure in the dreary autumn? Then the city museum’s autumn holiday program is just the thing. In two workshops, the children can learn a lot and get active themselves – boredom doesn’t stand a chance!
Work like in the past
How did people used to work in the countryside? In the workshop “With hand and wood – working like in the old days”, which takes place in cooperation with the “Werkerei” on Tuesday, 29.10.2024, from 10.00 to 13.00, children can find out and try it out for themselves. In the special exhibition “Village Life”, participants will first see together how people used to work in the countryside. After the children’s tour of the city museum, they then get hands-on in the children’s wood workshop in the Werkerei. Using various hand tools, they put their creative ideas into practice. Planing, hammering and sawing, they learn how to shape the diverse material wood. Please bring a snack and a drink. Participation costs 15.00 euros, with Zeller Karte 7.50 euros. Participation is only possible with prior registration by Saturday, 26.10.2024, by e-mail to museum@radolfzell.de.
The magic of chemistry
Discover the magic of chemistry together! In the “Chemical Magic” workshop on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, children between the ages of eight and eleven will gain a playful insight into chemical topics and facts. Embedded in an exciting story of young apothecary and alchemy apprentices who are initiated into a secret science, the children experience the world of chemistry in a variety of ways. Children can experiment in the rooms of the historic town pharmacy, where pharmacists once produced pills, ointments and creams themselves in the in-house laboratory. The workshop is offered in cooperation with the school laboratory at the University of Constance. Please bring a snack and a drink. Participation costs 15.00 euros, with Zeller Karte 7.50 euros. Prior registration is required by Monday, 28.10.2024, at museum@radolfzell.de.
