Café Connect summer holiday program: making a day cream
The production of creams and ointments in pharmacies plays a major role, and not just in these times of increasing allergies. We learn the difference between cream and ointment, distinguish between the water phase and the oil phase, and recognize how emulsifiers work to combine water-soluble and fat-soluble substances. At the end, we can take home our homemade day cream made from a water-in-oil emulsion. A challenging program in terms of theoretical background and handling laboratory equipment!
