Unforgotten - a contemporary witness tells the story
Radolfzell City Museum
Permanent exhibition
Discover the living history of Radolfzell in the old town pharmacy! The historic building dating back to 1689 is located in the immediate vicinity of Radolfzell railroad station. The pharmacy from the Biedermeier period, the laboratory and other well-preserved pharmacy rooms bear witness to the former function of the building. On four floors, modern themed islands with historical material provide an insight into the eventful history of Radolfzell. Annually changing special exhibitions deal with regional history in the context of current topics. You can find a brief overview of more than 100 years of museum tradition in Radolfzell here.

Your help is needed!

In 2025, it will be 80 years since the end of the Second World War. To mark the occasion, the town museum is preparing a special exhibition on Radolfzell during the National Socialist era. We still need your help! We are looking for everyday items and interesting objects from the 1930s and 1940s as well as the immediate post-war period that can be presented in the exhibition. Of course, the objects can also be presented anonymously. Items of interest include old school books and maps, grandfather’s field post, a badge from the Winterhilfswerk, everyday items from the war, food stamps and much more. If you would like to contribute something, please contact the town museum or the town archive: museum@radolfzell.de, phone 0 77 32 / 81-534 (Rüdiger Specht, museum director).
